Match Time: 10/19/2019 02:45 Saturday (GMT+8)
Neil Warnock will hand a start to forward Danny Ward this weekend after he scored twice as a substitute last time out.Fernando Forestieri is back available after serving a suspension, but the away side will now be without injured midfielder Massimo Luongo.
Injured/Unavailable: Sol Bamba (knee), Isaac Vassell (thigh), Joe Ralls (unknown)
Injured/Unavailable: Joe Wildsmith (knee), Tom Lees (hamstring), David Bates (groin), Massimo Luongo (knee)
MAIN PREDICTION: DRAW
Cardiff’s seven match unbeaten run in the league came crashing to an end last time out as they were hammered 4-2 by a rampant West Bromwich side. Neil Warnock won’t be panicking ahead of this clash though – his Cardiff side remain unbeaten in five home league matches and still sit in 11th place in the Championship ahead of the visit of Sheff Wednesday on Friday night.
Garry Monk watched his side return to winning ways in their last league game as they beat a struggling Wigan side 1-0 in front of an expectant home crowd. Sheff Wednesday had previously lost 1-0 to Hull City but have now moved up to 8th place, just one point outside the top six. The away side have won three of their five league matches under Garry Monk.
The pair went into the international break following very different results but there won’t be much to separate them here.
SECOND PREDICTION: ODD/EVEN – EVEN
Even though only nine of the 22 league matches involving these two sides this season have produced an even total number of goals I’m expecting an even return on Friday night. Only two points separate the sides in the table and with similar recent form, a draw seems a likely outcome.
HEAD TO HEAD
Cardiff are without a win against Sheff Wednesday in their last seven meetings.
