Crewe: In great shape (Recent Form: WWWDDW)
Crewe finished last season around the middle of the table in League Two, six points behind the playoff spots, but in the same time they had a really good end of the season and overall were never involved in the battle for the top positions. This season however things are looking much better for the club, given in mind that they are not only battling for the playoff positions, but also are in great shape and currently in the top three, being in the battle even for the direct promotion spots. So far in the campaign the team managed to collect fifty seven points in their opening thirty one league games played (17-7-7), as with that they are right now on second place in the table, just two points even from the top spot and four points clear of the fourth in the table, as with the top three getting a direct promotion, they are on the verge of battling and getting a direct promotion spot. Right now Crewe is also on a really good run of six consecutive league games without a single defeat, having been able to collect fourteen points in these matches (4-2-0), as well as being able to win their last three league games in a row. Crewe is in the same time also on a great run of being able to win their last five league games in a row in front of their fans, as well as collecting nineteen points in their last seven league games at their arena (6-1-0), scoring a lot of goals in these games.
Crawley: Midtable (Recent Form: DWDWLW)
Crawley, who finished in the bottom half of the table last season, is having a good campaign so far, being around the middle of the table and despite sitting eight points behind the playoff spots right now, they do not have that high of ambitions, so the season is definitely positive for the club. However, in the same time their away performance is definitely not up to par with their display at their arena, given in mind that the club managed to win just once in their opening sixteen visits so far (1-9-6).
The Betting Verdict:
Crewe is definitely playing like a promotion contender during the season so far and especially as of recently and tomorrow I expect another positive performance from the club.
