Match Time：10/10/2019 08:30 Thursday (GMT+8)
Cruzeiro have defensive midfielder Henrique coming back from suspension this week, but center back Caca and attacking midfielder Thiago Neves are both out for that same reason.
Fluminense have two unavailable players as well – midfielders Allan and Caio Henrique, who are both with Brazil for a couple of matches.
Suspended: Caca, Thiago Neves
Injured/unavailable: Leo (collarbone)
Suspended: Rodolfo (doping)
Injured/unavailable: Allan (international), Caio Henrique (international), Mascarenhas (knee), Matheus Ferraz (knee)
MAIN PREDICTION: AWAY WIN
Things are getting terribly complicated for Cruzeiro, as the team comes from a 1-1 at home against Internacional after seeing the visitors open the score and that increased their winless run in the Brasileiro to six rounds, keeping them inside the relegation zone and in need of a win to get out of it.
The team placed right in front of them is Fluminense, who come from a 1-0 win as visitors in the derby against Botafogo, and are now two points ahead of Cruzeiro. They’ve showed some improvement since they changed coaches, though, and had three unbeaten matches in the last three rounds.
Cruzeiro have a new coach as well, but Abel Braga is still after his first win and without playmaker Thiago Neves they will have trouble creating chances to score. Not only that, but not having Caca will make their defense weaker, leaving room for Fluminense to attack and get the away win.
SECOND PREDICTION: HILO - LOW
Cruzeiro only scored last weekend because of a questionable call made by the referee and the VAR that awarded them a penalty, and if it weren’t for that it would’ve been their third consecutive match without scoring, which should happen again this midweek without Thiago Neves and help this game end with two or less goals, which means a low score.
HEAD TO HEAD
This is the fourth time these two sides clash in 2019 and Cruzeiro are still after their first win.
