MAIN PREDICTION: AWAY WIN
Houston were downed 1-0 away by Sporting Kansas City in last league game. They haven't won in their past three league contests with a draw and two losses and they enter this week's action with just 31 points after 28 matches. They have taken 25 of their 31 points at home from seven wins, three draws and four losses. Houston is second-last in the West, 12 points behind seventh-place Dallas and the playoff line.
Minnesota Utd surprised everybody when they beat league-leading Los Angeles FC away 2-0 in their last league especially since they lost 1-0 away to Sporting Kansas City in their previous outing. Goalkeeper Vito Mannone made eight saves and posted the clean sheet though and the three points were crucial for Minnesota in the Western Conference playoff race. They have 45 points and reside in third place, just three points ahead of eighth-place LA Galaxy.
I believe Minnesota's fine away form will be enough to beat a mediocre Houston home side.
SECOND PREDICTION: HILO – LOW
Both teams scored four goals in the last four league games this season I expect a low-scoring contest.
HEAD TO HEAD
Minnesota won 1-0 at the home in the league and 3-2 away in the US Open Cup this summer.
