Match Time:6/13/2019 08:30 Thursday(GMT+8)
Internacional will be missing centre back Emerson Santos in this league match as he saw his third yellow card last time out.
Bahia have no fresh injury news ahead of this league game.
Suspended: Emerson Santos
Injured/unavailable: Rodrigo Dourado (knee), Matheus Galdezani (foot), Rodrigo Moledo (thigh)
Injured/unavailable: Jackson (hamstring)
MAIN PREDICTION: HOME WIN
Internacional travelled to Vasco da Gama in the league last weekend, expecting to beat the struggling hosts, but they ended up defeated 2-1. They were stunned by an intense and aggressive approach from the home team and failed to control their nerves from the start. Vasco da Gama headed to the dressing room with a 2-0 lead and Internacional remained unrecognisable, even though they tried to be sharper in the second half. Centre back Emerson Santos, who will be suspended in this upcoming league match, managed to pull one back in the 56th minute, but despite the team’s efforts, the hosts walked off the pitch with the win. It was Internacional’s third defeat in the league after eight rounds, having won four and drawn one.
Bahia paid a visit to Ceara in the league last weekend and left the pitch with a 0-0 stalemate. It was another tough league fixture for them as they have been struggling to impose their style away from home, and Ceara are a difficult team to visit. However, even without a win in the bag, they are unbeaten in their last four league games with two wins and two draws and have a respectable 14 points from eight league matches. Only two of those points have arrived on the road though.
Internacional did not play their usual best in their away league defeat last weekend and they will do everything to make up for it in front of their fans. They have won all of their home fixtures in the league this season while Bahia are yet to win on their travels in league action (two draws, two losses). I’m going with a home victory.
SECOND PREDICTION: ODD/EVEN – EVEN
Internacional’s last three home league matches have finished with even scorelines. I can see a similar result here.
HEAD TO HEAD
Internacional clinched back-to-back league wins last season against Bahia, winning 1-0 away from home and 2-0 in front of their own crowd. They are in fact unbeaten in their last four league meetings, winning all of them.
