MATCH PREVIEW MAIN PREDICTION: HOME WIN
Zelvia lost 3-0 at Renofa Yamaguchi last weekend in J2. They have been wildly inconsistent since starting the year well and are now three wins, seven draws and four defeats in 14 league games. It would seem they will not be hitting the heights of last season and their home form has been the problem, with five draws and two defeats in their last seven home league games.
Koki Kido scored in added time but Avispa went down 3-1 at home to FC Gifu last weekend in J2. They look in trouble now as the bottom team took what was really six points from them last week. They have just one win in 11 league games and look without confidence in games and without ideas. Chances that do some are not finished as they were last season and a change of manager has not helped this team at all.
Zelvia's home form might have given hope to most teams but I feel that Avispa are just not good enough to even get a drawer here.
FIRST HALF HAD: DRAW
Neither team has too many goals in the 1st half or an overwhelmingly better total of goals early in games. This one may well take a while to get going and be level at half time. Avispa have been level nine times at the break, and gone on to lose fur of those. Zelvia have been level eight times at the break. I expect a 2nd half explosion!
HEAD TO HEAD
In J2 matches between these two teams last season Zelvia won at home and drew away, while Zelvia also won the league game earlier this season.
