Injured/unavailable: Andreas Helmersen, Bilal Njie (both knee)
Injured/unavailable: Matthew Rusike (unspecified)
MAIN PREDICTION: HOME WIN
Odd BK drew 2-2 at home with league leaders Molde in their most recent league fixture. After first-half strikes from the visitors, things didn’t look good for the hosts, but they battled back in the second half. A goal from Fredrik Nordkvelle and a last gasp Torgeir Borven effort rescued a point for the Grenland club. Borven is the club’s top scorer with nine league goals in 2019, his best ever scoring season. Odd BK now have six wins and one draw from their seven home league games this season and occupy third place in the table, level on points with Bodo Glimt in second and only four points behind the table toppers.
Although they are still dangerously close to the drop zone Stabaek are unbeaten in their last three league outings (two wins, one draw) and have won their last two away league games. Their latest victory came away in Drammen against fellow strugglers Stromsgodset last weekend. An Ola Brynhildsen goal in the first half and a Luc Kassi strike in the second was enough for the win. The Baerum club have also kept a clean sheet in each of their last three league matches. They are currently in 13th in the league, one point above the bottom three.
Despite Stabaek’s current good form, Odd BK’s excellent home league record is enough for me to predict another win for them in this league match.
SECOND PREDICTION: HILO – HIGH
Odd BK’s last three league games have been high-scoring affairs: 2-2 against Molde, a 3-0 defeat to Bodo Glimt and their 3-1 home win over Haugesund. It may be safe to predict another league game full of total goals here.
HEAD TO HEAD
Stabaek were unbeaten in both league fixtures against Odd BK last season, picking up a 3-0 win away from home and a 2-1 home victory in Baerum.
