Match Time：8/15/2019 10:00 Thursday (GMT+8)
Real Salt Lake expect to be missing Jordan Allen. The club also fired manager Mike Petke and announced assistant coach Freddy Juarez will take over for the rest of the season.
The Seattle Sounders are listing Gustav Svensson, Will Bruin and Victor Rodriguez as injured with Brad Smith and Kelvin Leerdam as questionable. The club signed Emanuel Cecchini from Malaga CF of Spain on a loan deal and acquired Luis Silva from FC Honka in Finland. Also, Kim Kee-hee is suspended.
Real Salt Lake
Injured/unavailable: Jordan Allen (knee)
Suspended: Kim Kee-hee
Doubtful: Brad Smith (abductor), Kelvin Leerdam (ankle)
Injured/unavailable: Will Bruin (knee), Victor Rodriguez (hamstring), Gustav Svensson (hamstring)
MAIN PREDICTION: DRAW
Man of the match Corey Baird scored in the 38th and 70th minutes for Real Salt Lake to erase a 1-0 deficit to lead his team to a 2-1 away win over Sporting Kansas City last weekend. Real Salt Lake is now unbeaten in the past five league outings with three wins and a pair of draws. They have lost just three of their past 14 league games to accompany eight wins and three draws. Real climbs to 37 points on the season and the win helped solidify their grip on fifth place and a playoff spot in the West. They need to remain in good form though since they lead eighth-place Portland by just three points with the Timbers having a game in hand on them.
Seattle played to a 3-3 home draw with New England last weekend and have a win, two losses and draw in their last four league games with the defeats and tie coming at home. They have been struggling for a while now now with four wins, two draws and six defeats in their last 12 league encounters. It was a thriller against New England with Harry Shipp scoring twice and Nicolas Lodeiro adding a single for the Sounders. It was two points dropped though as New England tied the game on an 87th-minute penalty kick. Seattle has 39 points and sit in second place in the West, just five ahead of eighth-place Portland.
Seattle is a decent away squad with three wins, three draws and five defeats and I think they can earn a point in Salt Lake City.
SECOND PREDICTION: HILO - LOW
The teams play defensive football against each other, none of the last five games has featured more than two goals and I believe this will be another low-scoring affair.
HEAD TO HEAD
Seattle were 1-0 winners at home in April. Each side has three wins and losses in the past six meetings.
