Match Time: 10/7/2019 04:00 Monday (GMT+8)
Seattle is listing Will Bruin as injured with Jonathan Campbell and Nicolas Lodeiro as questionable. Nohou Tolo and Xavier Erraga are suspended.
Minnesota Utd is listing a healthy squad.
Suspended: Nohou Tolo, Xavier Arreaga
Doubtful: Nicolas Lodeiro (back), Jonathan Campbell (calf)
Injured/unavailable: Will Bruin (knee)
MAIN PREDICTION: HOME WIN
Seattle almost went three straight league games without scoring but Jordan Morris netted the only goal of the game just before the final whistle in a 1-0 away win over San Jose last weekend. Tommy Thompson was sent of for the home side after 56 minutes while Xavier Arreaga was sent off for Seattle in the 71st minute and goalkeeper Stefan Frei earned the clean sheet. Seattle has a win, loss and draw in the last three games and now have 53 points they are tied for second place in the West with Minnesota.
Minnesota Utd pulled out a 1-1 home draw with Los Angeles FC last weekend. They fell behind after 70 minutes but Michael Boxall equalized five minutes later. Minnesota is unbeaten in the past four league games with two wins and two draws. With 53 points, Minnesota is tied with Seattle for second place in the West.
This game has huge playoff implications as each team could place anywhere from second to fifth in the West. I expect Seattle to do just enough to win.
SECOND PREDICTION: FIRST HALF HAD – DRAW
These two teams have combined for 31 half-time draws in 66 league games. I expect them to be level at the break.
HEAD TO HEAD
The squads drew 1-1 in Minnesota earlier this season but they have yet to beat Seattle in league play with four losses and a draw.
Nowgoal Prediction: Seattle wins second straight
