MATCH PREVIEW

MAIN PREDICTION: DRAW

Stoke claimed a huge three points in the battle for survival down a the bottom when they beat fellow strugglers Charlton 3-1 on Saturday afternoon following an impressive performance. Michael O’Neill’s men are now five points clear of the drop zone following a run of one defeat from their last six and are unbeaten in six league games at home.

An impressive individual display from Daniel Johnson helped Preston secure all three points against a relegation threatened Wigan side on Saturday as Wednesday night’s visitors won 2-1 at the DW Stadium. The victory moved the visitors into the top six and extended their unbeaten run to five league games.

Preston are unbeaten in their last five away league games and I expect that run to continue here.

SECOND PREDICTION: FIRST TEAM TO SCORE – STOKE

I believe that it will be Stoke who open the scoring against Preston on Wednesday night. The hosts have conceded just three goals in the last six away matches.

HEAD TO HEAD

Preston are unbeaten in their last six matches against Stoke.
