MATCH PREVIEW MAIN PREDICTION: DRAW
Goals from Taiki Kato and Yuki Kakita gave Zweigen a 2-2 draw at home to Mito HollyHock last weekend in J2. This was Zweigen's 7th league game without loss and in fact they have lost just three games this season, but six of these last seven unbeaten games have been drawn. With ten drawn games in their season they should be safe from any relegation worries, but will struggle to break into the top six.
Shion Inoue and Junki Koike scored for Verdy but they went down 3-2 at home to FC Yokohama last weekend in J2. It was Verdy's first defeat in four league games and only their third loss in 13 J2 games. But, just like their hosts today, Verdy have drawn too many games this season (seven) to be in with a chance of breaching the top six and reaching the play-offs. Unless things change will stay in mid-table obscurity.
With both teams struggling to win, and racking up the draws, we can expect another here today.
SECOND PREDICTION: HILO - LOW
None of Verdy's seven draws and only one of Zweigen's ten have seen more than two goals total in a game. Another 0-0 or 1-1 here today.
HEAD TO HEAD
In J2 matches between these two teams last season each team won their away game, while earlier this season Verdy won at home.
